today i turn an extra year older.

(and hopefully wiser)

it’s 3am and raining out, the kind of rain that’s torrid and heavy with big fat raindrops that splatter on your window pane at full force, not the tepid drizzly ones like the showers we get in moscow.

i adore this kind of rain.

this is the kind of rain that is cleansing.

i am home, and i am happy, and i am loved.

and that is all.

for now there is nothing else.
