7 sillies.

11Mar08

This is a first for me. Never quite been able to grasp the concept behind this whole tagging business. Anyway the very funky alejna over at collecting tokens has (and I quote: “more arbitrarily than randomly”) chosen this blog and tagged me to come up with 6 unimportant things about myself. You can check out her 6 rather interesting and slightly weird unimportant things here. Needless to say when it comes to unimportant stuff I can dig up plenty. Now try asking me the something medically relevant a med student actually needs to know and watch me give you a blank stare.

But hey here you go.

#1. I am unreasonably partial to odd numbers, particularly to the number seven. For example I would buy my eggs in sevens, oranges in fives, and tomatoes in threes. And this is probably risky to mention but (shhh) my pin number consists entirely of odd numbers. If I somehow ended up with an even number I would invariably change it to the nearest odd one. Case in point, instead of 6 unimportant things I’m gonna throw in an extra unimportant thing just to make it uneven.

#2. I have a paranoid fear of showing up late. For anything. Not so much because I feel the need to be punctual, but more because I am afraid of missing out on something. I therefore head out for any commitment ensuring that I arrive at least half an hour before it starts. My watches are also all set to be at least 11 minutes early (refer #1) because of this.

#3. My journal is actually a person. Her name is Ally and she wears a purple power suit not unlike Ally of Ally Mcbeal. I adore her to bits and you should know that if you see me talking to myself I’m really talking to her.

#4. I earnestly believe in snail mail.

#6. I get infatuated by anything star shaped. But everyone who knows me personally or who has seen the seven stars on my bedroom wall would already know this :)

#7. Sometimes when I’m walking around with my iPod on and a really good song is playing, one that suits the mood and situation of how I’m feeling at that particular moment, I would pretend that I’m in a video clip for that song. Like a crazy lame person. I know.

Okay so now I’m supposed to tag 6 other people. Randomly. According to these rules anyway:

- Link to the person that tagged you.
- Post the rules on your blog.

- Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.

- Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
-
Let your tagger know when your entry is up.

Well then…

1. Hazreen of purasikura
2. Raimi of hadoken’s view
3. KS of .::My World::.
4. Munie of mun1e
5. dafrosty of Summer Snowflakes
6. Nadrah of Memoirs of Nadrah ^_^

Mmm, I so badly want to make this 7 you have no idea.

Thanks so much for playing along! A gold star for you!

I much enjoyed your 7 silly bits. (Probably a lot more than I would have enjoyed medically relevant stuff.)

I’m quite partial to the number 9, myself. I was doing a lot of “top 9″ lists for a while, instead of the standard “top 10.”

While I have great respect for snail mail, I have realized that I am hopeless at it. I always have such good intentions to send letters. But those intentions rarely require the actual postage.

    Hey there..

    thanks for tagging me.

#4 - I usually get too excited to open a snail mail with my name written on it.

#7 - This is so funny! I can’t imagine that.

    Take care dear :)

    Hi Maddie.

I wouldn’t find #7 really weird anyhow. With our iPods everywhere, they seem to add ’soundtracks’ to every step of our daily life. I call that a ‘playlist deja vu’.

But if it’s Feist ‘1234′, try not to dance in public.Hehe

alejna: thank you. i probably wouldn’t have made quite the effort had it been anyone else doing the tagging. you were quite inspiring i must say :) and trust me nothing quite makes this girl’s day than getting a postcard/letter/better yet a parcel (hint to all the people out there with my address). beats the electronic versions hands down every time i tell ya.

munie: hugs right backatcha sweetie. the days all seem to long eh. noone said it was gnna be easy i suppose. just remember i got your back if you need me. loves.

    sarahss: yay for postal service!

    Dafrosty: thanks kiddo.

Nadrah: you are always welcome. and ps stick with the real name, i quite like being reminded of my pre-maddie days… it’s wonderfully nostalgic in a comforting way.

nav: not weird i suppose. grossly unimportant maybe. as much as we all love feist, if you ever catch me tryin to do a number in a bedazzled sparkly blue jumpsuit you can either join in with a correspondingly color coordinated outfit or please just shoot me.
